The participation of Lao People's Army soldiers in the parade alongside Vietnamese troops and people was a great encouragement to Vietnam. General Secretary To Lam affirmed that throughout Vietnam's revolutionary cause, every victory has been linked to the righteous and heartfelt support of the Lao Party, State, and people.
Vietnam always cherishes and deeply remembers this invaluable support, from the years of resistance to the current cause of national construction, defense, and development. Vietnam will do its utmost, together with Laos, to preserve, nurture, and develop the special Vietnam-Laos relationship, making it ever stronger.

General Secretary To Lam expressed his appreciation for the Lao Party and State's decision to recognize the "Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail in Laos" as a national historical relic. This is a particularly significant event in preserving and promoting historical values, demonstrating respect for and honoring the solidarity and close ties between the armies and peoples of the two countries.
General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith warmly congratulated Vietnam on the momentous occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day. He affirmed that the victory of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1945 were a great source of motivation for Laos' national liberation cause. It also strongly encouraged revolutionary movements and the struggle for peace among oppressed peoples worldwide.
He said Laos solemnly celebrated the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day with the participation of more than 1,500 delegates, including many senior leaders and representatives of Lao ministries, branches, and organizations.
The Lao Party General Secretary and President considered Vietnam's achievements over the past 80 years to be shared achievements of the two countries. He expressed his deep impression of the Vietnamese people's ardent patriotism, witnessing the vibrant and proud atmosphere of the entire Vietnamese Party, people, and army in recent days.
In addition to strengthening cooperation in politics, defense, and security, the two leaders agreed to make efforts to elevate and create a breakthrough in economic cooperation commensurate with the political relationship. They aim to boost two-way trade, strengthen economic infrastructure connectivity, and focus on implementing strategic cooperation projects, creating new momentum and opening a new phase of effective and practical cooperation for the benefit of both countries.
Both sides expressed their delight that many Vietnamese business investment projects in Laos in the fields of energy, agriculture, telecommunications, and infrastructure are yielding practical results. The two countries are also coordinating the implementation of strategic infrastructure projects, including connecting transportation and energy infrastructure. This contributes to the sustainable development of economic and trade relations, linking them more closely with regional and international integration processes.

On the same day, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with Lao Party General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith at the National Assembly headquarters. He affirmed that Vietnam consistently gives the highest priority to the "one-of-a-kind" special solidarity with Laos.
Highly appreciating the cooperation between the two National Assemblies, Lao Party General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith affirmed that the relationship between the two legislatures is an important factor, contributing to the overall success of the good relationship between the two countries.
The Lao Party General Secretary and President expressed confidence and hope that the two sides will continue to cooperate closely to monitor, promote, and improve the quality and effectiveness of cooperation agreements between the two countries.
