A resident of Bychawka Trzecia, a village about 24 km south of Lublin in eastern Poland, returned home on 10/9 to find an intact unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on the roof of their rabbit hutch. Startled by the discovery, they immediately contacted the police.
According to Poland's TVP television, the UAV showed signs of makeshift repairs, with some parts held together by tape. The homeowner speculated that the drone might have struck power lines before landing.
Police, firefighters, and military police secured the scene, establishing a security perimeter around the area. "The UAV is intact, not broken into pieces. The scene is being examined," said Beata Syk-Jankowska, spokesperson for the Lublin Provincial Prosecutor's Office.

Polish authorities reported that 19 UAVs crossed into Polish airspace during a coordinated Russian attack on western Ukraine in the early hours of 10/9. Most of the drones landed in the eastern Lubelskie province, but two traveled over 300 km from the border. At least three were shot down by Polish and NATO air defenses.
The Polish Government Center for Security issued alerts in seven provinces, urging residents to report any sightings of downed UAVs or debris. Polish officials added that none of the drones that landed in Poland carried explosives, suggesting they were likely decoys.
The Ukrainian Air Force Command reported that Russia launched 415 suicide and decoy drones, 42 Kh-101, Kalibr, and Kh-59/69 cruise missiles, and one Iskander-M ballistic missile during the early morning attack on 10/9.
"Air defense units shot down or jammed 386 UAVs and 27 cruise missiles. The remaining 16 missiles and 21 UAVs hit 17 locations, while at least eight UAVs crossed the Ukrainian border into Polish airspace," the command stated.
The Russian Ministry of Defense later confirmed carrying out a large-scale coordinated attack with high-precision weapons and long-range UAVs targeting Ukrainian defense enterprises in the Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnitsky, and Zhytomyr provinces, as well as the cities of Vinnytsia and Lviv.
"Russia had no intention of striking any targets within Polish territory. The range of the UAVs, allegedly having flown into Polish airspace, does not exceed 700 km. We are ready for consultations with the Polish Ministry of Defense on this matter," the Russian Ministry of Defense stated.
