Meeting with President Luong Cuong on 4/9 in Beijing, representatives of the Vietnamese community in China shared about their lives, work, and integration into the local society. They committed to continuing their solidarity, supporting each other, preserving Vietnamese traditions and culture, and always looking towards their homeland.
Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh said there are currently over 100,000 Vietnamese people in China, including about 23,000 students living and studying in many provinces and cities, according to the Vietnam News Agency (TTXVN).
The president praised the solidarity and resilience of the Vietnamese community in China, which has actively contributed to consolidating and promoting the "comradely and brotherly" relationship between the two countries. He also noted their role in spreading a friendly and approachable image of Vietnamese people to local and international friends.

The president said he had worked with Chinese leaders, especially during his meeting with President Xi Jinping, to consolidate and strengthen political trust, expand and enhance cooperation in various fields, promote the resolution of obstacles in cooperation, maximize common ground, and find ways to control disagreements, for peace, cooperation, and development.
He affirmed that Vietnam consistently prioritizes developing relations with China as an objective requirement, a strategic choice, and a top priority. This aligns with the fundamental and long-term interests of the nation and its people and is a crucial factor in building a favorable environment for the country to achieve its development aspirations and goals by 2030 and 2045.
The president requested the Vietnamese Embassy in China to effectively implement economic diplomacy, focusing on serving the people and businesses. He also urged them to continue promoting cultural diplomacy, people-to-people exchanges, and consular work, taking care of the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Vietnamese and students in China.
On the same day, President Luong Cuong met with representatives of families and relatives of former Vietnamese and Chinese experts, advisors, and officials who participated in supporting the Vietnamese people during the two resistance wars. He affirmed that these individuals made immense contributions to Vietnam's revolutionary cause and the Vietnam-China friendship.

The president wished the relatives of these friendly figures good health and encouraged them to continue upholding and promoting the revolutionary traditions of their forefathers, contributing to building and strengthening the Vietnam-China relationship for stable, sustainable, long-term, and effective development in the future.
