Russia's Ministry of Defense announced its air defense units intercepted 287 fixed-wing Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from the night of 10/12 to the early morning of 11/12. This marks one of the largest numbers of Ukrainian UAVs shot down by the Russian military in cross-border attacks.
Of the 40 UAVs shot down in Moscow province, 32 were flying towards the capital. Russian air defense in Bryansk province also downed 118 aircraft, the largest number in this wave of attacks. Russia's Ministry of Defense did not specify the total number of Ukrainian UAVs launched at the country or any related damage.

The Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) announced that four airports in the capital Moscow suspended operations due to the attack. Flights to Moscow were diverted to Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg.
Ukrainian officials have not yet commented on the information.
The head of Poltava province's military administration in Ukraine stated on the same day that Russia attacked energy infrastructure in the region overnight, causing several fires. Ukraine's Air Force Command has not yet released a report related to the attack.
Russia and Ukraine have recently frequently targeted each other's energy infrastructure, while accusing the other of attacking civilian facilities and claiming to only target military objectives or those serving the other side's defense operations.
Serhy Koretsky, chief executive officer of Ukraine's state oil and gas company Naftogaz, said that Russia's attack campaign this winter began earlier and more intensely, exacerbating the impact on Ukraine.
Ukraine's Air Force Command stated that the Russian military launched a total of 5,660 missiles and UAVs into the country in November, a 2% increase compared to October. This included 5,445 long-range UAVs, a 3% increase from the previous month, and 215 missiles, a decrease of approximately 20%.
