The Ukrainian military also claimed drone attacks on two oil refineries, Krasnodar and Syzran, located in Russia's Krasnodar Krai and Samara Oblast, respectively, overnight.
Kyiv reported large explosions and fires in Krasnodar, which has an annual output of 3 million tons of light oil products. Krasnodar Krai officials said falling UAV debris damaged a workshop, causing a fire that spread over 300 square meters. The fire was extinguished, and there were no casualties.
The Syzran refinery has a refining capacity of 8.5 million tons per year. The Samara governor said an industrial facility was targeted overnight but did not specify which one.

On 21/8, President Trump set a two-week timeframe to assess the prospects for Russia-Ukraine peace talks, warning that the US might "choose a different approach."
