The US intervened in the Israeli-Iranian conflict on 22/6, sending B-2 bombers to attack three nuclear facilities in Tehran. That same day, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev criticized the US attack, alleging the airstrikes "failed to prevent Iran from enriching uranium and producing future nuclear weapons."
"The leadership in Tehran will become stronger after Washington's actions. Some countries are ready to directly supply nuclear warheads to Iran," Medvedev wrote in a series of posts on X. "Most countries in the world oppose the actions of Israel and the US. Trump can forget about the Nobel Peace Prize because he has pushed the US into another war."
In response, the US president wrote on Truth Social on 23/6, "Did I just hear that former Russian President Medvedev casually mentioned the 'N' word (Nuclear) and said he and other countries would provide nuclear warheads to Iran?"
Trump demanded that Medvedev immediately confirm or deny this information. "The 'N' word should not be used so casually," the US president emphasized.

Medvedev replied to Trump, stressing that "Russia has no intention of providing nuclear weapons to Iran." "Unlike Israel, Russia participates in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)," he said, but added that "other countries still can."
Speaking in Moscow on 23/6, Russian President Vladimir Putin also criticized the US airstrikes on Iran as "an act of unprovoked aggression, a violation of international law, and unjustifiable."
The Israeli-Iranian conflict erupted on 13/6 when Tel Aviv launched a preemptive strike on Tehran to "destroy its nuclear and missile capabilities," prompting Iran to launch a retaliatory campaign. After 12 days, the fighting left more than 430 people dead and more than 3,500 injured in Iran; 25 people dead and more than 2,500 injured in Israel.
Around 5 a.m. Hanoi time on 24/6, Trump announced that Israel and Iran had reached a ceasefire agreement. The agreement would be implemented in stages, starting at 11 a.m. Hanoi time. The US president asserted that the ceasefire would help end the "12-day war."
