"Iran has called to negotiate. Their leaders want to negotiate. I believe they are weary of US pressure. Iran wants to negotiate with us", President Donald Trump stated on 11/1, adding that the US "may have to act before a meeting occurs".
Trump affirmed the US administration is monitoring the protests in Iran and continues to consider military options against the country, as the death toll among protesters rises. "The military is reviewing this issue, and we are currently considering some very strong options. We will make a decision", the US President said.
The US leader added that the government might negotiate with billionaire Elon Musk to allow Iranian citizens access to Starlink satellite internet service.

When asked how Washington would respond if Tehran attacked US military bases, President Trump warned that the US "would retaliate with unprecedented strikes".
Trump repeatedly threatened Iran with very severe sanctions if more protesters were killed, stating that Iranian protesters are facing "an extremely dangerous situation" and the US would closely monitor all developments.
The protests, which began on 28/12/2025 due to dissatisfaction among small business owners with the economic situation and the devalued rial currency, have spread widely in the capital Tehran and many other Iranian cities in recent days.
Iranian officials accused "terrorist agents" from Israel and the US of inciting protests to escalate into violence, while the US Department of State rejected the claim, stating that Tehran is "distracting public opinion from internal issues".
International organizations, citing local sources, reported that the Iranian government has blocked information nationwide, cut off internet access, and restricted international communication, making it difficult to determine the scale of the protests.
Iranian state media reported that protests escalating into violence have killed at least 109 members of the security forces. Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRANA), a US-based monitoring group, estimated 538 people have died in the current wave of protests.
