Former President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social today that he had a "very good" phone call with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He said they plan to continue their discussions over the phone in the future.
"We made progress on some very important issues, such as trade, fentanyl, the need to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and the TikTok deal approval," Trump said.
Trump added that he and Xi agreed to meet in person at the APEC summit in South Korea later this year. He also plans to visit China in early 2026, and Xi intends to visit the US "at an appropriate time" afterward.
