"I plan to implement a version similar to DOGE for some projects. I urgently need to push for cost reductions and evaluate effectiveness," Fedorov wrote on Threads on 18/7, referring to the Office of Government Effectiveness (DOGE) established after former US President Donald Trump's second term began.

He added that he is searching for a head for this agency but did not specify which projects might be targeted.
Fedorov was appointed first deputy prime minister on 18/7 after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a cabinet reshuffle earlier in the week.
Serving as minister of digital transformation since 2019, Fedorov has advanced the country's digitization, including introducing the Diia electronic government portal, and has received widespread praise.
However, his latest proposal has faced some online criticism.
"The name isn't very successful, and the program results aren't very promising," one Ukrainian social media user commented.
DOGE was a Trump administration initiative aimed at modernizing information technology, maximizing productivity, and cutting regulations and excess spending. However, the agency has faced controversy since its inception. Critics have accused DOGE of exceeding its authority and disrupting government services and operations.
Legal experts expressed concerns about DOGE's potential violation of federal law, particularly in areas related to access to personal information and security. DOGE's dissolution of agencies and reallocation of funds previously approved by the US Congress was deemed unconstitutional, potentially triggering a constitutional crisis.
In response, the White House and Republican officials maintained that DOGE always operated within the bounds of federal law. They emphasized that DOGE's efforts were necessary to modernize the federal government and ensure efficient use of taxpayer money.
