Vietnam condemns the use of force, violations of international law and the United Nations (UN) charter, and violations of national sovereignty and territorial integrity," Foreign Ministry spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said on 11/9, responding to Israel's attack on Hamas leadership in Doha, Qatar.
Hang said Vietnam urges all parties involved to exercise restraint, avoid escalating tensions, and resolve disagreements peacefully, in strict accordance with international law and the UN charter, to create a favorable environment for negotiating a complete and lasting ceasefire to the current Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The spokesperson added that Vietnam has not recorded any Vietnamese citizens affected by the attack. The Vietnamese Embassy in Qatar is closely monitoring the situation and is prepared with citizen protection plans if necessary.
On 9/9, Israeli fighter jets launched missiles at Doha, Qatar, in an attempt to assassinate Hamas leaders, shortly after the militant group claimed responsibility for a shooting at a bus stop that killed 6 people outside Jerusalem earlier that week. Hamas said its leadership survived the attack, but 6 people were killed, including 5 members of the group and one Qatari security officer.
The US said Israel acted unilaterally and the attack did not benefit either country. Several other countries have also condemned Israel's attack on Qatari territory.
