On 24/9, Singaporean police responded to a call about a fight at Block 323 Yishun Central and found a woman and two men injured in the 6th-floor corridor.
All three were taken to the hospital, but the 31-year-old Vietnamese woman died from her injuries. Preliminary investigations indicate the 66-year-old man stabbed the woman and her husband after an argument about noise.

Residents of the building said the woman's husband tried to defend his wife, resulting in injuries to the suspect as well.
Koh, a resident on the 7th floor, said the victim's family and the suspect had been feuding for years over noise. The victim and her husband have two children, aged three and five, and the suspect, who lived downstairs, seemed upset by the noise of the children playing.
Local authorities attempted to mediate but were unsuccessful. In July, the two parties brought the dispute to the Community Disputes Resolution Tribunal (CDRT).
