A driver, traveling over 50 km/h and equipped with a dashcam, was startled when a boy, estimated to be five to six years old, suddenly emerged from the treed median and ran across the front of their vehicle. The car braked just in time. The boy then continued to rush across the road, directly into the path of several motorbikes approaching at high speed. One motorbike collided with the child. Following the impact, the boy stood up on his own.
For families living along roadsides, vigilance is crucial. Children should not be allowed to run into the street unsupervised. If children play near the road, adult supervision is always necessary.
Drivers navigating through residential areas should maintain a moderate speed and remain focused to anticipate unexpected situations. If a child is spotted from a distance, drivers should proactively slow down and come to a complete stop to yield the right of way. Meanwhile, other road users should also be prepared to reduce their speed when noticing another vehicle unexpectedly stopping in the middle of the road. It is important to avoid the mindset of "it's not my problem" or attempting to overtake a stopped vehicle. Such actions can lead to sudden risks, as seen in the video incident.
