As part of Vietnam Mobility Show 2025, the "Vehicle Escape and Survival" training program for children attracted many families. Held on the afternoon of 27/12, the workshop aimed to equip children with skills to protect themselves during incidents in cars, buses, or personal vehicles.
Accidents and emergencies, such as fires, floods, jammed doors, or children being trapped alone in a vehicle, can occur at any time. Most children lack sufficient knowledge to react correctly. The program's visual and interactive design enables children to learn and practice, building essential safety reflexes.

Major Pham Dang Quy, an officer from the Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police Team Area 20, Hanoi Police, led the workshop. Through relatable examples, he helped children identify dangerous situations that could arise while in a vehicle, such as being locked inside without an adult, an overheated car cabin, or a collision preventing doors from opening.
In the initial part of the program, children shared thoughts on situations where they felt unsafe in a car, to help them remember and proactively prevent such incidents. During the skills instruction segment, children learned the principles of staying calm, observing their surroundings, and identifying escape routes in a vehicle.

The instructor also demonstrated how to call for external help and basic actions to exit a vehicle when necessary. Additionally, parents received advice on how to react if they find their child trapped in a car, to avoid unsafe responses during an emergency.
A highlight of the workshop was the simulated practical session. Children were invited onto the stage to practice hypothetical scenarios inside a vehicle, under the direct guidance of an expert. From locating doors and using the horn to attract attention to maneuvering out, each step was explained slowly and clearly for the children.

Finally, the "Right Action - Wrong Action" minigame enlivened the workshop atmosphere, featuring short multiple-choice questions. Children selected safe actions when in a vehicle, such as fastening seatbelts, not extending hands out of windows, or knowing to call for help when in danger. This learn-through-play format helped them remember the information naturally, without pressure.
The "Vehicle Escape and Survival" workshop helps children develop observation habits and safety thinking when participating in traffic. Children knowing how to react correctly in unexpected situations will contribute to reducing risks and consequences if incidents occur. This is one of the family and child-oriented activities at Vietnam Mobility Show (VnMS) 2025. In addition to showcasing new car models and technologies, this year's event also expanded to include safety education content for both children and adults.
VnMS 2025 is open free of charge for three days, from 26-28/12, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center, Dong Anh, Hanoi. Besides car displays and test drives, side activities for families and children are also ready to welcome visitors: the free Carlympic run, the Hismart Kids Challenge safe activity playground for children, and the "Vehicle Escape and Survival" skills training workshop for children.
