In late December, some Honda dealers applied discounts of up to 10 million dong on the ICON e: electric scooter. Honda contributed 5 million dong directly, with dealers covering the remainder. Following these reductions, the compact electric scooter's price fell to approximately 17 million dong. A few dealers offered even steeper discounts, bringing the price to around 14 million dong, roughly half of its original 26,9-27,3 million dong price. This price does not include the battery, which customers can lease for 350,000 dong per month or purchase for nearly 10 million dong.

Earlier in December, the ICON e: saw a 5-8 million dong reduction, placing its price above 20 million dong. The continuous price drops by Honda dealers in a short period signal an effort to stimulate demand as the market heats up during the pre-Tet holiday season.
After two promotional rounds, the ICON e:'s current price aligns with popular small electric scooter models like the VinFast Flazz (16 million dong) and Yadea Vekoo (15 million dong). However, the Honda model's price excludes the battery, which would add 10 million dong if purchased. Both the Flazz and Vekoo models include their batteries.
Regarding performance, the ICON e: achieves a top speed of 50 km/h, compared to the Flazz's 39 km/h and the Vekoo's 38 km/h. The ICON e: offers a range of 70 km per charge, while the Flazz boasts 135 km and the Vekoo 65 km. These three electric scooters share a similar compact design, making them easy to maneuver in urban environments.
Launched in 2025, the ICON e: is Honda's first electric vehicle produced in Vietnam, assembled at its Vinh Phuc factory. The scooter weighs 89 kg and has a seat height of 742 mm, targeting urban commuters. It features a 1,5 kW rear-wheel motor, complying with electric vehicle standards that do not require a driver's license. Its removable lithium-ion battery has a 30,6 Ah capacity and an IP67 waterproof rating, allowing for separate charging. The ICON e: includes LED lights, an LCD instrument panel, a 26-liter storage compartment, and CBS brakes. Honda positions the ICON e: as a low-cost option for short-distance urban travel.
