Isuzu D-Max EV - electric pickup truck coming soon to Southeast Asia

The pure electric pickup, manufactured in Thailand, features a 66.9 kWh battery pack, a 331 km range, uses two electric motors, and costs 49,000 USD.

Japanese automaker Isuzu introduced the electric vehicle (EV) version of its D-Max for the Thai market, making it the first country in Southeast Asia to receive the model. The vehicle is manufactured in Thailand.

The D-Max EV is equipped with two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 190 hp and 325 Nm of torque. It features four-wheel drive and a top speed of 130 km/h. The vehicle incorporates a four-level regenerative braking system, offering a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 kg and a payload of 1,010 kg.

The D-Max EV uses a 66.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, providing a driving range of 331 km on a full charge. The battery supports AC charging up to 11 kW, allowing a 0-100% charge in 10 hours. DC fast charging at 50 kW can replenish the battery from 20-80% in 60 minutes.

The interior features a 5-seater, four-door configuration. The overall cockpit design remains consistent with the standard model, including a 7-inch multi-information display, automatic air conditioning, and a 360-degree camera with an under-vehicle view for off-road driving. The Japanese automaker also equips the D-Max EV with an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) offering multiple features.

Isuzu has not yet disclosed the specific launch date for the D-Max EV in the Thai market. The electric pickup previously debuted at the Birmingham Motor Show in England in 4/2025.
