Japanese automaker Honda has introduced new upgraded versions for the two gasoline-powered CR-V variants, G and L. Previously, the CR-V hybrid variant transitioned from being imported to being assembled in Vietnam starting 11/2. The new gasoline CR-V models focus on safety technology upgrades, while the overall design and engine remain unchanged.
In terms of pricing, the CR-V G variant sees a 10 million VND increase over its predecessor, reaching 1,039 billion VND. The CR-V L variant maintains its price of 1,099 billion VND.

Honda added new safety features to both the CR-V G and L variants. The L variant now includes a post-collision automatic emergency braking system and front parking sensors, which were not available in the previous model.
The G variant receives more extensive upgrades, such as: the post-collision automatic emergency braking system, a lanewatch camera lane-keeping assist system, rear parking sensors, and a larger 9-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless mobile phone connectivity.
Both the CR-V G and L are equipped with a 1,5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, producing 188 horsepower at 6.000 rpm and a maximum torque of 240 Nm across 1.700-5.000 rpm. The vehicle uses a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive.
The Honda CR-V G and L 2026 are scheduled to go on sale in the Vietnamese market from 19/3.
In Vietnam's C-segment SUV market, the CR-V competes with formidable rivals, such as: Mazda CX-5 (priced from 749-999 million VND), Ford Territory (priced from 822-935 million VND), Mitsubishi Destinator (priced from 780-855 million VND), Hyundai Tucson (priced from 769-899 million VND), and Kia Sportage (priced from 859 million VND - 1,029 billion VND).
