Vespa 946 Year of the Horse edition to arrive in Vietnam in February

The limited edition 946 scooter for the 2026 lunar year is available for pre-order from 26/1 and is expected to reach Vietnam in early February.

Italy's Vespa, part of the Piaggio Group, announced pre-orders for the 946 Horse 2026 in Vietnam starting 26/1. This premium two-wheeler will soon be available at select dealerships nationwide from early February.

The 946 Horse 2026 is a special edition celebrating the lunar Year of the Horse (Binh Ngo). It continues a series of limited editions that began in 2023 with the Year of the Rabbit, followed by the Year of the Dragon in 2024, and most recently, the Year of the Snake for 2025. Like its predecessors, the 946 Horse for the Year of the Horse is limited to 888 units worldwide, according to the Italian manufacturer.

A distinctive feature of the 946 Year of the Horse edition is the horseshoe emblem and the letter V (for Vespa) located under the seat. Gold-plated brake calipers further enhance its unique identity.

The 946 Horse showcases a special metallic brown finish. It incorporates leather and yellow accents for decoration. Leather appears on the handlebars and mirror stems, featuring diamond-pattern stitching. The leather seat, combined with yellow stitching, creates a distinctive look.

Standard features include a digital instrument panel and two-tone multi-spoke cast wheels. The 946 utilizes a monocoque steel frame with aluminum components, such as: wheels, handlebars, side panels, front fender, mirror supports, and seat support. The front suspension is a single-sided fork with a coil spring and a single shock absorber. The rear features a single hydraulic shock absorber with 5-level preload adjustment.

The 946 Horse is powered by a 125 cc single-cylinder engine and includes a two-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS) and traction control system (ASR).

The Italian motorcycle manufacturer has not yet announced the price for the 946 Horse in Vietnam. In Europe, the 946 Horse is priced at 14,400 USD.

Previously, the 2025 Year of the Snake edition was priced at 460 million VND, the 2024 Year of the Dragon edition at 455 million VND, and the 2023 Year of the Rabbit edition at 425 million VND.
