VinFast sells over 19,500 electric vehicles in may

VinFast announced sales of 19,503 electric vehicles across various segments, with year-to-date sales reaching 97,961 units, maintaining its market leadership for 20 consecutive months, on 11/6.

VinFast's may sales were driven by various electric vehicle models across different segments, with six models ranking in the top 10 best-sellers in the Vietnam market, according to a statement from VAMA and VinFast.

Leading VinFast's product lineup and topping the Vietnam market sales was the Limo Green, with 5,108 vehicles delivered and year-to-date sales reaching 24,059 units. This seven-seater all-electric MPV appeals to key customer groups: transport businesses, service drivers, and individual users seeking spaciousness and cost-efficiency for their families.

The more premium version of the Limo Green, the VF MPV 7, also recorded sales of 1,711 units, with year-to-date deliveries to users totaling 7,923 vehicles. This model targets individual users, having launched in february.

Following the Limo Green, the next two best-selling models delivered to users this month were the VF 3 (4,770 units) and VF 5 (3,399 units). Year-to-date, cumulative sales for the VF 3 reached 20,231 vehicles, while the VF 5 achieved 16,803 vehicles (including the Herio Green version). Other models also showed positive sales results, including: VF 6 (1,674 units, 11,057 year-to-date), VF 7 (750 units, 5,412 year-to-date), and the EC Van (1,092 units, 4,071 year-to-date).

According to VinFast, in the first five months of this year, the company achieved cumulative sales of 97,961 electric vehicles, approaching the 100,000-unit mark. This result is unprecedented for an automaker in the Vietnam market. Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy General Director of Global Automotive Sales at VinFast, stated that with a strategy of "good cars, good prices, and excellent after-sales service," coupled with an extensive charging station infrastructure, VinFast will contribute positively to the green transportation landscape in Vietnam.
