With the theme "sowing green seeds of happiness," the program supports 228 local households. Many of these families own forest land but have lacked resources to invest in tree planting for years. Providing seedlings along with fertilizer enables residents to care for the trees from the initial stage, gradually establishing stable cinnamon gardens and creating long-term livelihoods.

Cinnamon trees were chosen for their suitability to Thong Thu's climate and soil conditions, as the commune is considered Nghe An province's "cinnamon capital." This tree species grows well, requires minimal care, and offers stable economic value. As the trees develop, residents can harvest leaves and branches for additional income. The 100,000 cinnamon trees are expected to reforest over 20 hectares of forest land in the commune.

Le Viet Thang, Vice Chairman of Thong Thu Commune People's Committee, stated that providing seedlings with fertilizer is an appropriate approach given the local realities, where the area is frequently affected by natural disasters. He noted that the program not only helps residents stabilize their immediate lives but also motivates them to engage in agricultural production long-term.

Speaking at the tree handover ceremony, Lai Tat Ha, Deputy General Director of ABBank, shared that Tet An Binh is a program the bank has maintained for many years. It focuses on practical support activities linked to livelihoods and the environment. A prominent example is the "Green An Binh - Green Vietnam" project, now in its 6th year of implementation by ABBank.
"We hope these seedlings today will contribute to gradually stabilizing the lives of the people in the future," said Ha.
In addition to tree planting, ABBank also donated 50 Tet gifts, including cash and essential goods, to disadvantaged households in Thong Thu commune, helping residents celebrate a warmer Tet.

Tet An Binh is ABBank's annual charitable program, organized since 2010, to support disadvantaged people nationwide every spring. After more than 16 years, the program has shifted from short-term aid to long-term solutions linked to livelihoods, the environment, and community awareness.
The "Green An Binh - Green Vietnam" project has been implemented by ABBank over the past five years. It responds to the government's "One Billion Trees" project for the 2021-2025 period. The program aims to protect the environment, adapt to climate change, and support sustainable livelihoods for residents in challenging areas.
This activity aligns with the three pillars of Health - Education - Environment that ABBank pursues in its corporate social responsibility strategy, with the aim of linking community support with long-term sustainable development.
