Aeon Vietnam increases recruitment for 2026

The company expects to recruit more than 3,000 personnel in 2026 to meet its nationwide expansion plan, preparing resources for its growth strategy until 2030.

Aeon Vietnam is embarking on a significant recruitment drive, aiming to hire over 3,000 new employees in 2026. This initiative is crucial for realizing the company's ambitious goal of tripling its current scale by 2030. A representative from Aeon Vietnam stated that this expansion is driven by the robust growth projected for Vietnam's retail market, which is expected to stimulate consumption and increase labor demand in the sector.

Vietnam's retail market development strategy through 2030 targets an average annual growth of approximately 11-11.5% in total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue during the 2025-2030 period. Additionally, the country's GDP per capita is anticipated to exceed the 5,000 USD mark by 2026. Aeon Vietnam noted that these figures reflect improvements in income and living standards, which are expected to boost purchasing power. This, in turn, creates higher demands for skilled human resources in the retail sector, an industry characterized by a large workforce and rapid expansion.

According to the Anphabe 2025 report, competition for human resources in the retail sector extends beyond salary and benefits. It also focuses on sustainable values such as work-life balance, career stability, and long-term development opportunities for employees.

Aeon Group considers Vietnam a strategic key market alongside Japan. To achieve its expansion goals, Aeon is accelerating its development and broadening its business network nationwide. This strategy demonstrates the group's long-term investment commitment, creating thousands of advancement opportunities for internal teams and many attractive positions for new candidates. This builds a strong human resource foundation for the next development phase.

Specifically, Aeon is implementing a parallel development strategy in two directions: vertical and horizontal. Vertically, the company focuses on improving its supply chain to maintain Aeon-standard quality at reasonable prices. It also develops private labels such as Topvalu and Home Coordy to realize its core values of quality. Horizontally, Aeon Vietnam is accelerating system expansion with diverse models, from supermarkets and general merchandise stores to shopping malls, offering more convenient and varied shopping experiences for consumers.

In 2025, Aeon Vietnam opened many new sales points in the Red River Delta and the Southern region. It also organized three major recruitment fairs for Aeon Tan An, Aeon Van Giang, and Aeon Binh Duong Midori Park, along with other focused recruitment activities. These programs attracted tens of thousands of candidates, demonstrating the brand's appeal in the labor market.

Guided by the motto "Nurturing Unique Qualities – Flourishing Careers", Aeon Vietnam focuses on building a work environment based on three pillars: sustainable individual career development, a sustainable work culture, and sustainable business growth. Aeon Vietnam's human resources strategy is developed in parallel with its business development strategy, focusing on creating a "sustainable career development" path and empowering employees to own their career journeys. The company also promotes a "sustainable work culture", helping employees unleash their potential, develop their capabilities and self-worth, forming a strong workforce to accompany Aeon on its long journey.
