Coteccons Day expands from internal gathering to community engagement

Coteccons Day 2026 broadens its scope from internal bonding activities to include workers, their families, and the wider community, supported by numerous partners.

Coteccons Day, an annual event in august, has traditionally been a time for the Coteccons team to reflect on its journey, connect with colleagues, and share project updates. In previous years, the program primarily focused on internal appreciation and bonding activities for employees.

For 2026, under the theme "Coteccons 20+2 | United To Rise", the program significantly expands its reach. It now encompasses a series of activities across more than 100 construction sites nationwide, including the United Day - Happy Coffee Truck, the United Thanks initiative to recognize safety-conscious workers, the Xay nen uoc mo scholarship program, the United Run virtual race, and the United Corner competition.

This expansion marks a shift from an internal event to a community-oriented celebration. The activities now target not only employees and engineers but also workers, their families, and other groups contributing to society.

Bolat Duisenov, Chairman of the Board, emphasized the company's evolving role regarding the community. He stated that after years of commitment to building a company that creates value for people and society, the "20+2" milestone is an opportunity for Coteccons to clearly define its responsibilities as an Industry Leader in Vietnam's new development phase.

A tangible change is visible directly at the construction sites. Happy Coffee Trucks, laden with coffee, beverages, and gifts, have visited workers from subcontractor companies at over 100 sites and offices across the country.

The spirit of connection extends through the United Run, where Coteccons employees and engineers participate in the national walking event "Cung Viet Nam tien buoc". This event, organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, aims to achieve "10 billion green steps - For a sustainable Vietnam".

Furthermore, Coteccons employees successfully completed a challenge to cover 40,075 km in 22 days, marking the company's 22nd anniversary. This distance, equivalent to one trip around the Earth, symbolizes Coteccons' collaborative spirit and its "Go Global" ambition.

Another initiative, United Corner, encourages the adoption of the 3R model (reduce, reuse, and recycle) at construction sites, integrated with "Saving Mode" solutions. While 3R focuses on efficient resource utilization, Saving Mode aims to optimize operations, minimize waste, improve construction methods, and enhance productivity through technology and digitalization. These concepts are implemented from offices to sites, linked to specific operational activities.

United Thanks, another key activity of Coteccons Day 2026, involves donating rice, representing 10,000 words of appreciation, to workers who demonstrate excellent occupational safety practices.

Safety is a mandatory principle at every construction site. Coteccons maintains safety by helping workers understand the value of protecting themselves and their teammates. The bags of rice from the United Thanks program convey gratitude to those who uphold safety standards, while also serving as a reminder that behind every safe workday lies the peace of a family awaiting their return.

Coteccons Day further expands its impact through the Xay nen uoc mo scholarship program. In its second year, the program awards 600 scholarships: 350 to children of workers at 84 Coteccons sites nationwide, and the remaining 250 to children of workers from five urban environmental sanitation and drainage companies in TP HCM, Ha Noi, and Da Nang. This acknowledges the silent contributions of those vital to urban operations.

These community-focused activities are made possible through the collaboration of investors, subcontractors, and partners such as Boss Tang luc ca phe, Revive The thao, HSBC, Berocca, and Standard Chartered, among others. The participation of these parties not only expands the scale of the activities but also demonstrates how various stakeholders in the construction value chain unite to foster a culture of gratitude and create positive value for the community.
