The center launched on 20/8. It is positioned as a core driver of domestic semiconductor research, production, and application, while also connecting with the international supply chain. Truong Gia Khanh was appointed CEO, responsible for strategy development, team leadership, and fostering domestic and international partnerships. Khanh previously served as DTS Group's business director and CEO of DTS Foundation.
According to a DTS representative, the center's formation is a strategic step as Vietnam strengthens its semiconductor industry as a pillar of the digital economy. The government also aims to establish Vietnam as a regional semiconductor production and research hub, linked to the high-tech industry development program.

The global semiconductor industry is growing rapidly, projected to exceed USD 1,000 billion by 2030. This expansion presents significant opportunities for countries participating in the value chain, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region, where demand for chips for consumer electronics, smart cars, and IoT is increasing.
Vietnam is considered a potential destination due to its geographical advantages, young workforce, and policies prioritizing high-tech industrial development. Major corporations like Intel, Samsung, and Amkor have made substantial investments, creating opportunities for domestic businesses to participate more deeply in the supply chain.
In this context, DTS Semiconductor Center aims to build research and chip testing capabilities suited to the Vietnamese and Southeast Asian markets. The center also aims to support domestic businesses in reducing reliance on core technology imports. Additionally, it seeks to expand international collaborations for technology transfer and access to emerging markets with high demand for semiconductor solutions.
Truong Gia Khanh stated that the center not only targets global market participation but also emphasizes developing chip solutions tailored to local needs. "In this goal, personnel are our greatest asset. We are investing systematically in training, building a culture of continuous learning, and connecting with leading experts to make the center a hub for intellect and innovation," Khanh said.
