A representative from FWD Vietnam stated that DEI is a cornerstone of the company's HR strategy and corporate culture. The company aims to build an environment where all employees, regardless of gender, age, background, or beliefs, have equal opportunities to grow and contribute.
A highlight of FWD's DEI strategy is promoting gender equality. Currently, women comprise over 60% of FWD's workforce and over 40% of its management. To support their development, FWD implemented the Female Leadership Program, a specialized training program designed to enhance management skills, strategic thinking, and leadership roles within the organization. Many initiatives and contributions from female leaders have led to innovations in products, services, and corporate culture.
The DEI spirit is also reflected in employee benefits, with personalized insurance packages tailored to different life stages, from recent graduates to those starting families or at the peak of their careers. DEI serves as a catalyst for multifaceted collaboration, making employees feel comfortable expressing their views and contributing to process improvements, product innovation, and customer experience enhancements.

In 2025, FWD launched its internal theme "Live Fully Me," encouraging employees to express their individuality and values. This message is promoted through various activities on special occasions such as International Women's Day, Vietnamese Family Day, International Youth Day, and the annual "Proudly Me" event held in June. These events provide a platform for employees to share personal stories, celebrating diversity in experience, personality, and perspective, thereby fostering greater understanding within the team.
According to a representative from FWD Vietnam, DEI is not a short-term project but a continuous journey of adaptation to societal changes and employee needs. It is the foundation for attracting and retaining talent, building a creative and sustainable work community.
"These awards from HR Asia are meaningful recognition of our efforts in building and nurturing talent at FWD. We believe that diversity in thought, experience, and identity is the driving force behind the development of both individuals and the organization," shared Nguyen Kim Mai Thu, Deputy General Director of Human Resources at FWD Vietnam.
