One project of particular interest to BCCI is the Phu My Industrial Zone and Port, a strategic investment project for Gia Lai province. The over 820-hectare industrial zone is geared towards renewable energy and telecommunications industries. Phu My Port, a deep-water port capable of accommodating vessels up to 150,000 tons, is expected to become a nucleus for industrial-port urban development in the region.
BCCI assessed Phu My as having significant potential for logistics connections with Busan Port, opening up cooperation opportunities in maritime transport, import-export, and international supply chains.
The Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a major economic organization in South Korea with thousands of members operating in seaports, shipbuilding, agriculture, fisheries, trade, and services. With its extensive network, BCCI plays an important role in promoting global investment and trade.
The Gia Lai delegation also planned to meet with the Korea Ocean Business Corporation (KOBC) and Busan Port – strategic partners in logistics, international trade, and import-export infrastructure.
