For infertile families, the journey to parenthood is not solely a medical endeavor; it also presents challenges related to time, emotional well-being, and finances. Many couples undergo multiple interventions without achieving their desired outcomes, and financial strain often forces some families to postpone or halt their treatment.
Recognizing these significant challenges, the hospital established the Green Seed Fund, an infertility fund. Launched in 9/2024, the fund aims to provide initial support to families facing obstacles in their quest to have children. Since its inception, it has assisted nearly 20 families.

Among the first families to receive support from the Green Seed Fund were Cao Thi My Linh (born in 1998) and Nguyen Van Nam (born in 1994) from Lam Dong. The couple had been trying to conceive for three years. Examinations revealed that Ms. Linh had partially blocked fallopian tubes, and Mr. Nam had unfavorable sperm quality. In 3/2024, the family underwent IUI at a medical facility in Da Lat, but without the hoped-for results.
In 9/2024, after learning about Saigon Reproductive and Andrology Hospital through an acquaintance, the couple traveled from Lam Dong to Ho Chi Minh City to attend a medical seminar titled "Decoding the causes of recurrent embryo transfer failure." They received a 100% sponsorship for their IVF treatment costs. In 11/2024, the family began treatment at the hospital, with the examination, embryo creation, and embryo transfer preparation proceeding smoothly. By 8/2025, the couple welcomed healthy twin daughters.

Dr. Ho Cao Cuong, Medical Director of Saigon Reproductive and Andrology Hospital, explained that the causes of infertility vary significantly among couples. Before determining the appropriate treatment plan, it is crucial to assess factors such as age, reproductive health status, treatment history, and other relevant elements. Therefore, individualized treatment protocols are essential, enabling doctors to select suitable interventions rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
"A support program is truly meaningful when financial relief is combined with thorough professional assessment and a tailored treatment plan," the doctor emphasized.

Following its initial support programs, the Green Seed Fund continues its activities to assist infertile individuals. At a medical seminar on 19/9, themed "Genetic screening - Uncovering the secrets of healthy embryos," the fund offered one 100% IVF cost sponsorship and two 50% IVF cost sponsorships to participating families.
In the future, the fund plans to expand its support programs and strengthen connections with businesses, social organizations, and partners to secure additional resources for families facing difficulties on their journey to parenthood.
