The Hanoi Professional Chefs' Association (HPC) is organizing an event with the message "Modern Chef Hanoi 2026 - Chef of the New Era". As Vietnam's F&B industry transforms, chefs' roles extend beyond the traditional kitchen. Professional chefs are now expected to be creators, managers, brand storytellers, and contributors to culinary and tourism development.

The event expects to gather chefs, experts, and managers from various sectors: high-end hotels, international restaurants, and vocational training institutions. A key activity is the in-depth forum, Chef Talk Hanoi 2026. Here, speakers will share experiences on team building, personal brand development, and provide insights into this year's culinary trends. A business networking space will also connect F&B businesses with solution and ingredient suppliers, including: Kewpie, Afchem, iPOS, Nhat Huong, Life Food, Shen Tang, Haday, Nuong Bac, Maiami, Golden Palace...
According to organizers, the "modern chef" concept extends beyond excellent professional skills. It encompasses presentation ability, a personal brand-building mindset, team management, and quick adaptation to global culinary trends. Many Vietnamese chefs now hold executive positions in restaurant chains, serve as menu consultants, or represent large enterprises. This year's festival theme reflects this reality and aims to guide the development of the industry's workforce.

A notable part of the festival is the launch ceremony for the Hanoi Chef Team. This core team comprises outstanding individuals from Hanoi, representing various culinary segments. The team will undergo systematic training for national and international professional competitions. HPC identifies the establishment of this team as a strategic step to build a long-term talent development system and promote Vietnamese cuisine globally.
The event will conclude with a Gala Dinner, where members will review the past year's activities and honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the culinary profession. HPC representatives stated that maintaining the annual festival not only celebrates the profession but also aims to build a professional community with a common voice, thereby enhancing Hanoi's culinary position in the regional tourism landscape.
