The event, held in Hamburg, Germany, gathered over 4,500 experts and businesses from over 100 countries, active in port operations, container shipping, logistics, automation, and maritime technology.
Notably, Huynh Thy Group was the sole Vietnamese enterprise participating in this year's event. According to a company representative, their presence at TOC Europe 2026 aimed not only to connect with international partners but also to seize the opportunity to update on advanced seaport operational technology trends being applied in many countries. This will enable them to research and gradually integrate these into Vietnam's logistics and seaport ecosystem.
Key topics at this year's event focused on smart ports, artificial intelligence in logistics, terminal automation, lifting equipment technology, carbon emission reduction, and supply chain optimization. These trends are expected to significantly impact the global logistics industry in the coming period.

A company representative stated that Huynh Thy Group is fostering cooperation with its Japanese partner, MITSUI E&S, for technology transfer and the development of STS/RTG port crane equipment in Vietnam. This is considered a strategic step to gradually localize seaport equipment, meet domestic market demand, and aim for exports to regional countries in the future.
As import-export activities and container transport continue to grow, the demand for technology application and operational optimization is projected to play an increasingly important role in Vietnam's logistics industry. Participating in international specialized exhibitions like TOC Europe is expected by the company to open further opportunities for networking, accessing new technologies, and fostering cooperation in the seaport, logistics, and transport infrastructure sectors.
