Jens Lottner reappointed as Techcombank CEO

The board of directors of Techcombank has reappointed Doctor Jens Lottner as CEO for the 2025-2030 term.

The State Bank of Vietnam approved the appointment, effective 18/8. This is Lottner’s second consecutive term leading Techcombank.

Lottner has over 30 years of experience in finance and banking at leading global institutions like McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, and Siam Commercial Bank (Thailand). He has spent more than two-thirds of his career in Asia.

Under Lottner’s leadership from 2020 to 2025, Techcombank achieved positive results. Pre-tax profit reached 27,500 trillion VND in 2024, a 20.3% year-on-year increase. Total operating income reached 47,000 trillion VND, up 17.3%. The CASA ratio reached 40.9% with a record balance of 231,000 trillion VND. In QII/2025, pre-tax profit reached a record high of 7,900 trillion VND.

Brand and reputation indicators also improved. The bank’s brand equity index (BEI) led the Vietnamese banking sector, increasing by over 60% in 2024. Its net promoter score (NPS) reached 91, ranking second in the industry. FiinRatings upgraded Techcombank's credit rating from "A+" to "AA-" with a "Stable" outlook in 2024. In July, the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) listed Techcombank among the top 20 companies with the best sustainable development index.

Alongside its business strategy, the "Overseas Talent Roadshow" campaign, launched in 2022, has attracted Vietnamese professionals from markets like Singapore, the UK, France, the US, and Australia. This strategic move aims to recruit high-quality personnel with international experience and local market knowledge.

Thanks to its seamless digital financial ecosystem, built on a customer-centric philosophy, Techcombank is the first and only bank in Vietnam to win the "Best Bank in Vietnam" award from Global Finance and FinanceAsia for two consecutive years (2024-2025). The Asian Banker also recognized Techcombank as the "Best Managed Bank in Vietnam". In July, Lottner received The Asian Banker’s “Best CEO in Vietnam” award for 2022-2025.

"Continuing to lead Techcombank is an honor and a responsibility, given the bank's ambitious goals. With the right direction, the support of the board, and our dedicated team, we will reach new milestones and contribute to Vietnam's development," Lottner said.
