Previously, in the first phase, the two units conducted field surveys of numerous households starting in late April. During the surveys, the working group observed many households living in temporary, dilapidated housing with deteriorated sheet metal roofs, weak bamboo walls, and low-lying earthen floors prone to frequent flooding, posing significant safety risks, especially during the rainy season.
After 4 months of implementation and construction, 10 houses were handed over to the households, along with 10 sets of tables and chairs, and 50 essential gift packages to families in need. The total sponsorship value was 915 million VND (Vietnamese Dong). Speaking at the event, Major General Tran Van Toan, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Criminal Police Department, Ministry of Public Security, emphasized that each home handed over today is a testament to the solidarity and responsibility of the people's police force towards the community. He also expressed his appreciation for the partnership with VNG and the Dream Building Fund in this shared journey.
Ms. Truong Cam Thanh, Senior Director of VNG Corporation and President of the Dream Building Fund, shared that each new house not only provides shelter from the elements but also inspires hope and resilience for families. "VNG and the Dream Building Fund are proud to be a part of the journey to bring loving homes, contributing to building a settled and sustainably developing community," Ms. Thanh emphasized.
Expressing joy upon receiving the new house, a representative of one of the supported households conveyed deep gratitude to the authorities and supporting units for providing a stable home. "Today's ceremony is a meaningful moment for their family and other recipient households," the representative expressed.

In the last 6 months of the year, VNG Group and the Dream Building Fund will continue to coordinate with agencies and organizations to expand surveys and provide social housing in other provinces and cities, aiming to improve the quality of life for communities nationwide.
According to data updated as of 30/7 from the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs and Religions, 23 out of 34 localities nationwide have announced the completion of temporary housing eradication, corresponding to approximately 283,000 houses provided to impoverished households. The remaining 11 localities are expected to complete this effort by 20/8.
The Dream Building Fund was established in 2023 under the patronage of VNG with the mission of creating practical changes for vulnerable communities by improving living and learning conditions. In addition to housing support, the fund also implements projects to build schools for students in remote and disadvantaged areas, contributing to narrowing the development gap across the country.
