When a customer enters recipient account details for a transfer, the system automatically checks and cross-references them with a warning list provided by the Ministry of Public Security (Bo Cong an), state agencies, and related organizations. If the recipient account shows suspicious signs of fraud or scams, the application immediately displays an alert on the transaction screen.
SHB states the warning system acts as a pre-transaction protective layer, helping individual and corporate customers identify risks early. This is especially useful when transferring money to unfamiliar accounts, newly active accounts, or cases requiring further information verification. After receiving a warning, customers retain the autonomy to proceed or stop the transaction.

For accounts triggering an alert, the bank recommends customers thoroughly verify recipient information, confirm identity through official channels, avoid following instructions from unverified sources, and never provide passwords, one-time passwords (OTP), or account details to others. If any unusual signs are detected, customers should contact the SHB hotline, transaction points, or authorities for assistance.
The feature is currently available on digital banking platforms including SAHA, SHB Corporate Mobile, and Internet Banking. The bank plans to extend these warnings across all transaction channels in the future.
An SHB representative stated that transaction safety is a top priority for the bank in its digital banking development. "Through the warning feature for recipient accounts showing suspicious signs of fraud or scams, we aim to provide customers with more information to proactively protect their assets against increasingly complex risks in the digital environment," the representative added.
In mid-june, the Ministry of Public Security (Bo Cong an) awarded a Certificate of Merit to SHB for its achievements in the "All People Protect National Security" movement in 2025. Concurrently, Ms. Ngo Thu Ha, SHB's General Director (Tong giam doc), received the "Protect National Security" Commemorative Medal. The bank also received recognition from the Hanoi People's Committee (UBND) as a unit meeting the "Security and Order Safety" standard in 2025.

In its new development phase, SHB is pursuing a comprehensive financial ecosystem and "5 FIRST" digital transformation strategy. It is also advancing the application of technology, data, and security solutions to enhance customer experience, transaction speed, and safety. The bank consistently updates security features on SAHA, SHB Corporate Mobile, Internet Banking, and other transaction channels to meet rising demands for financial fraud prevention.
"On its journey to become a new-generation national-scale bank, SHB continues to support customers with modern, humane, and reliable financial solutions. This contributes to promoting secure digital payments, protecting customers' legitimate interests, and fostering a culture of responsible financial transactions within the community," an SHB representative shared.
