Staples Vegetables, a UK-based supplier of fresh and organic vegetables, announced a partnership with Solum Partners, a global investment firm in the agricultural sector.
This partnership will enable Staples to expand its vegetable and energy production activities, including cold storage and transportation systems. The company recently completed an expansion of its energy operations, allowing for large-scale renewable natural gas (RNG) production. This not only powers Staples' operations and reduces emissions but also generates a surplus for external partners.

The investment from Solum will support supply stability, enhance cold chain efficiency, and advance sustainability efforts across the entire value chain. This collaboration also ensures continuous service for existing customers and land partners while preserving Staples' management team, values, and service standards.
Vernon Read, who leads Staples Vegetables alongside his brother George, shared, "We are excited to partner with Solum as we continue to invest in both our food and energy businesses. Our integrated model helps reduce waste and lower emissions, creating a circular system where the produce we grow helps power our own farming operations."
Staples Vegetables operates as a UK supplier of fresh and organic vegetables, managing the entire value chain from cultivation to delivery through its dedicated logistics network. The company is committed to a sustainable model and reducing emissions.
Solum Partners is a global agricultural investment firm, focusing on sustainable development, food supply chains, and renewable energy.
