Sunswap expands into Australia

Sunswap enters the Australian market through a partnership with Protran Solutions, aiming to bring electric transport refrigeration solutions to local logistics fleets.

Sunswap, a company specializing in electric and solar-powered Endurance transport refrigeration systems, has expanded its operations into Australia. This marks the sixth international market for the company, following the United Kingdom, Belgium, Netherlands, France, and Chile, where Endurance units are already utilized by major retailers and logistics businesses.

Sunswap states that its electric refrigeration technology can reduce operational costs by up to 81% and simplify maintenance compared to traditional diesel systems. Endurance units can provide continuous refrigeration for 24 hours on a single charge. The integrated solar panel system on the trailer roof further extends operational range and minimizes charging requirements.

The Endurance system supports a wide temperature range, from -25 degrees Celsius for frozen goods to ambient conditions, making it suitable for high-intensity commercial transport routes. In Australia, Protran Solutions will be responsible for distribution, maintenance services, and technical support to ensure stable operation for customers.

Michael Lowe, Sunswap's CEO, noted that businesses choose Endurance for its ability to meet demanding operational requirements more effectively than diesel systems, while also substantially reducing costs.

"Environmental benefits are a natural outcome of operational efficiency, not a trade-off," Lowe stated. "This is driving global adoption as fleets achieve better performance, lower costs, and zero emissions."

Sunswap, a technology company based in the United Kingdom, specializes in developing electric and solar-powered transport refrigeration systems. Its mission is to achieve zero-emission logistics and reduce operational costs for commercial fleets.

Protran Solutions, an Australia-based company, provides solutions, technical services, and operational support for refrigeration systems and specialized transport equipment within the domestic market.
