The "Vietnam Sustainable Business 2025" awards ceremony, hosted by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and organized by the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD-VCCI), took place on 5/12. The organizers recognized 100 exemplary enterprises across both manufacturing and trade-service sectors.
PNJ was honored with the "CSI Star for the 2016-2025 period", an award acknowledging the contributions and efforts of top 10 Corporate Sustainable Development Index (CSI) program participants in implementing sustainable development activities for five consecutive years. The company was also named among the "top 100 sustainable businesses in the trade-service sector" due to its adherence to the CSI framework.

Specifically, PNJ was recognized for effectively meeting the CSI 2025 framework, which comprises seven main sections: company information; organizational structure, model, and key personnel; analysis of material issues; three-year performance indicators; governance indicators; environmental indicators; and labor and social indicators.
This year, the organizers streamlined the CSI framework to 145 indicators (87 basic and 58 advanced). This initiative aims to encourage businesses to transition from mere compliance to innovative practices in sustainable business, through new initiatives that achieve significant added value and adapt to a volatile environment.

The organizers commended PNJ for consistently advancing its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices across all three pillars. PNJ demonstrates innovative thinking, harmoniously balancing economic benefits with social responsibility and environmental protection.
The company also prioritizes enhancing its governance capabilities and establishing transparent, high-efficiency operating systems centered on responsibility. PNJ emphasizes fostering innovation to optimize resources, moving towards a circular economy model, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. For example, in the middle of the year, PNJ collaborated with strategic partners to promote green transportation within the company, helping to spread this model to the wider community.
"We maintain a chain of social welfare projects through strategic partners with shared values, amplifying community impact from corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and creating a foundation for long-term positive transformation", a company representative stated.
For many years, PNJ has built its CSR strategy on the foundation of "Beautiful Living" and the philosophy of "Placing customer and social benefits within business benefits". This is demonstrated through a range of notable activities, including: the "0-dong mini supermarket", "Cinderella Dream", "Joining Hands for Warmth", and "Happy Young Family". Over the past two months, the company flexibly deployed the 0-dong supermarket model to thousands of families affected by floods and storms in Thai Nguyen, Hue, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, and Quy Nhon (formerly).

"Focusing on sustainable factors helps us mitigate risks, enhance operational efficiency, and build strong trust with customers, investors, and the community", a company representative said.
According to PNJ, its strategic vision and decisive ESG implementation provide a solid foundation for future sustainable growth. Previously, PNJ earned numerous national and international awards, such as: Jewellery World Awards (JWA), Fortune 500 Southeast Asia, top 50 outstanding sustainable businesses Vietnam (CSA); Green Business TP HCM, and Best Companies to Work For in Southeast Asia 2025 (Fortune magazine).
Vietnam Sustainable Business is an annual event, initiated 10 years ago, to honor businesses that demonstrate good sustainable production and business practices. The program aims to foster a responsible, sustainably developing, and inclusive business community. The evaluation and assessment process consists of three stages: three rounds of application scoring based on the CSI framework; verification by functional agencies; and approval of evaluation council proposals by the steering committee.
