Techcombank's automatic savings program attracts nearly 4 million users

Techcombank's automatic savings program, offering interest rates up to 4.4% per year, has attracted 4 million customers as of Quarter 2/2025, after a year and a half since its launch.

Meeting the needs of convenience, transparency, and flexibility with interest rates up to 4.4% annually, Techcombank's automatic savings program has quickly gained popularity. The product reached 1 million users after six months and surpassed 3 million after one year. As of the end of Quarter 2, nearly 4 million customers are using the product, transforming idle funds into automatically generated returns.

According to the bank, the product is designed to maximize profits without sacrificing flexibility, simplifying financial management while ensuring the highest level of security for customers. Funds in the account accrue interest daily at a rate up to 90 times higher than a regular checking account.

Customers can access their money at any time without impacting their return rate or requiring additional steps. Interest is calculated based on the actual balance at the end of each day, accumulating and paid monthly. The earned interest is reported and displayed in the "Automatic Savings Management" section of the Techcombank app.

A unique feature of the latest version of Techcombank's automatic savings program is the optimization of all customer funds. The app functions as an intelligent "financial assistant," utilizing AI technology to automatically optimize unused funds without dividing interest or imposing a limit up to 50 billion VND. This ensures all funds in the account are maximized and easily accessible.

Unlike fixed-term deposits, which require a time commitment, funds in this account can be transferred, paid, or withdrawn at any time without penalty. Customers still earn interest for the duration of their balance, even if it's just for one day. The product caters to everyone, from busy professionals and investment experts to those less tech-savvy.

All information about operations, returns, and terms is transparently provided to customers before activation. Balances and assets are fully protected under the regulations of the State Bank of Vietnam and current laws.

Khanh Van (age, location) stated that after joining the automatic savings program, she can track her idle funds "generating more money," ensuring her unused funds are optimized daily. Similarly, Tan Hoang (42), a small business owner in TP HCM, said he was surprised that the 50 million VND balance in his account earned him over 2 million VND annually after activating the program.

Recently, the bank introduced a double Upoint bonus on this product. Customers' returns are doubled, along with additional privileges within the Techcombank ecosystem and from major partners for using accumulated points.

Dr. Le Xuan Nghia expressed his appreciation for the high liquidity, allowing withdrawals without interest loss, and the program's competitive return rates. He considers it a "two-in-one" solution, serving as both a checking account and an investment tool.

"Especially when the profit difference between traditional savings and Techcombank's automatic savings is no longer significant enough to worry about," he added.

Techcombank, in partnership with other companies, is running the "Big Win Savings" promotion for automatic savings customers until 28/9. Millions of valuable prizes are up for grabs, including Masterise Homes apartments, Vinfast electric vehicles, iPhone 16s, AirPods 4s, and shopping vouchers.

The total prize value is up to 250 billion VND. This is one of the ways Techcombank extends value to its customers, alongside optimizing idle funds and promoting effective financial management.

"From salaried employees to small business owners and entrepreneurs, everyone can use Techcombank's automatic savings as a tool for effective financial management. Along with our strong ecosystem, we will continue to innovate and update exclusive offers to enhance personalized experiences for each customer," emphasized Nguyen Van Linh, Deputy Director of Techcombank's Retail Banking Division.
