Techcombank wins three awards from The Asian Banker

Techcombank was honored in three categories: best-managed bank, best CEO, and chief information officer of the year at The Asian Banker Global Leaders Awards 2025, held on 30/7.

The Asian Banker Leadership Achievement Awards are prestigious accolades in the financial and banking industry, held every three years to honor organizations with exceptional management capabilities and CEOs who pioneer digital transformation in their respective countries. The evaluation process is independent and rigorous, based on criteria such as leadership, risk management, technological innovation, and comprehensive development strategy.

At this year's awards ceremony, Techcombank received the Best Managed Bank in Vietnam award. CEO Jens Lottner was named the best bank CEO in Vietnam for the 2022-2025 period. In addition, Nguyen Anh Tuan, chief information officer, received the Chief Information Officer of the Year award for the Asia-Pacific region.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Foo Boon Ping, chairman and editor-in-chief of The Asian Banker, stated that Mr. Lottner had contributed to promoting digital transformation, deploying innovative services, investing in the strategic ecosystem, developing talent, and committing to sustainable development at Techcombank.

Mr. Lottner has been CEO of Techcombank since 2020. Over the past 5 years, under his leadership, the bank has driven comprehensive transformation, focusing on developing digital platforms, data, artificial intelligence, and building a high-quality workforce. Products and services have become more personalized, seamlessly integrated with partners in the ecosystem, contributing to enhanced user experiences and redefining banking services in Vietnam, while creating a platform for the bank's growth.

"I am honored that we have been recognized at this awards ceremony. This is a testament to the commitment and efforts of the leadership team and all employees to develop the bank to be increasingly stronger," CEO Jens Lottner shared.

The bank has also been highly rated by Moody's and many credit rating agencies for its management capabilities and risk profile. In Quarter II/2025, the bank's pre-tax profit reached 7,900 billion VND, the highest ever.

Along with financial growth, Techcombank has also strengthened its commitment to sustainable development. The bank was the first joint-stock commercial bank in Vietnam to issue green bonds according to international standards of the International Capital Market Association (ICMA). On 21/7/2025, Techcombank's shares were included by HoSE in the top 20 companies with the best sustainability index in the market.
