Tran Trung Kien, Director of the Hanoi branch and representative of Tonmat Group, received the Vietnam National Brand 2026 emblem for two product lines: Tonmat insulation roofing sheets and Tonmatpan insulation and thermal protection panels, at the National Convention Center.
Following the event, Tran Van Son, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Tonmat Group, attributed the two consecutive recognitions to years of systematic investment in production technology and quality control.
"We see the Vietnam National Brand title not as a destination, but as motivation to continue improving products, meeting the market's growing demand for energy-saving insulation materials," Son stated.

The two honored products are also the company's core lines, serving distinct needs. Tonmat, a three-layer PU-core roofing sheet, was launched in 2004, pioneering domestic insulation and soundproof roofing sheets. Its slogan, "It's still roofing, but quiet and cool," was a notable message at the time.
Chairman Tran Van Son originated the name "ton mat" (cool roofing), which later became a common term for the insulation roofing industry across the Northern and Central regions. For over two decades, Tonmat has been the choice for millions of Vietnamese homes, from residential houses to factories. The company currently operates a nationwide system of factories and branches, producing 5 million square meters of roofing sheets and panels annually.
According to the company, Tonmatpan targets projects with higher technical demands. This panel series features three characteristics: high thermal insulation capability; restricted flame spread; and operational energy savings due to stable temperature retention.
The PIR panel version, utilizing HFO (hydrofluoroolefin), was tested by an independent Japanese inspection unit according to Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS). Results showed a low thermal conductivity coefficient of 0,01837 W/m·K. Due to these properties, Tonmatpan is widely used in environments where temperature and safety directly impact product quality, such as industrial factories, logistics warehouses, cold storage, and electronic component manufacturing plants.
Beyond the domestic market, the company also boosts exports. Dozens of Japanese and Korean foreign direct investment projects trust the company's products, while many tons of goods have been shipped to Australia, the United States, and the Philippines.

The Vietnam National Brand program, held biennially, is a long-term trade promotion initiative by the government, led by the Ministry of Industry and Trade since 2003. It honors products with high quality and competitiveness. The organizing committee upholds three core values: quality, innovation, and creativity.
This year, the program, themed "Flow of Vietnamese Brands," recognized 499 products from 227 enterprises, an increase from 359 products by 190 enterprises in 2024. The leading sectors by number of recognized products include: processing and manufacturing, agriculture, food, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, banking, telecommunications, and technology.
