VPBank Prime attracts young Vietnamese customers

VPBank Prime uses digital technology and personalized services with exclusive privileges to enhance the financial experience for young customers.

Launched in 2021, VPBank Prime is a financial brand developed by VPBank, targeting young customers, especially Millennials and Gen Z.

VPBank Prime members enjoy benefits and privileges tailored to their membership tier: Mega, Upper Mega, Rising, and Champion. Tier level is determined by the extent of their engagement with VPBank's products and services. Some perks include bonus interest rates on savings of up to 0.2% annually on occasions like birthdays, Prime Day, or upon tier upgrades; and up to 400,000 LynkiD reward points on birthdays and other milestones.

Beyond financial incentives, VPBank Prime has partnered with businesses in dining, fashion, healthcare, sports, and transportation. Members can receive discounts of up to 200,000 VND when dining at SVN and D1 Concept restaurants; enjoy up to 30% off at Canifa; receive a 75% discount on dental services at MedDental; work out for free at California Fitness; or get up to 35% off tickets to VPBank-sponsored marathons. They also receive monthly ride discounts on the Be app.

Recently, the bank offered tickets to the VPBank K-Star Spark in Vietnam concert featuring G-Dragon to its members. This was one of several initiatives aimed at increasing engagement with young customers and aligning with current entertainment consumption trends.

VPBank Prime also recently launched the "Challenge" feature, a fully automated rewards program on the VPBank NEO app. Users can participate in two challenges: tier upgrade and credit card spending. The tier upgrade challenge offers vouchers worth up to 150,000 VND for using additional products and services, and upgrading from Mega or Upper Mega to Rising or Champion. The spending challenge rewards customers with vouchers worth up to 100,000 VND for making 3 to 6 transactions per month totaling 300,000 to 600,000 VND via credit card (including Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and purchases on Shopee, Lazada, and Tiki).

Rewards can be redeemed as e-vouchers from partners such as Shopee, Tiki, Phuc Long, Winmart, and Koi The, or added to LynkiD reward accounts for services like phone top-ups or gift redemptions. The total value of rewards in the program reaches 2 billion VND.

A bank representative stated that VPBank Prime aims to foster closer, digital, and personalized relationships with young customers.

"Young Vietnamese deserve a flexible and intelligent financial service experience that aligns with modern consumption habits," the representative said.

After almost 4 years, the product has attracted over 2.3 million members. VPBank Prime was recently recognized as the "Best Bank for Millennials & Gen Z Vietnam 2025" by Global Banking & Finance Review. This is the first time a Vietnamese financial brand has received this award, reflecting its focus on developing financial solutions tailored to young users.
