Toshihiko Haramoto, General Director of Yakult Vietnam Company Limited, shared that each step in portfolio expansion is carefully considered based on evolving consumer habits and increasingly diverse needs.

"Through Yakult Peach Flavor, we aim to provide every family member with an additional choice while maintaining the trust they have placed in Yakult throughout this period," he stated.

Yakult's current product trio includes original Yakult (red), low-sugar Yakult Light (blue), and Yakult Peach Flavor (pink). These options offer consumers a variety of choices, catering to different preferences and needs. All products retain over 6,5 billion L. paracasei Shirota beneficial bacteria in each bottle, supporting gut health.

Yakult is a fermented milk drink brand from the Yakult Honsha Group, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. The brand launched in Vietnam in 2006 and is currently available in 40 countries and territories.

The product was developed based on the scientific research of Professor Doctor Minoru Shirota on beneficial gut bacteria. To date, the brand has undergone over 90 years of research and development, adhering to scientific standards and quality control processes throughout its entire production.

As it expanded into many countries, Yakult established a unified system of common standards applied across all its factories, including in Vietnam. Products are manufactured through an automated, closed-loop process and controlled by the ISO 22000 food safety management system, ensuring consistent quality before market release.

Kenji Iwao, Production Block Director at Yakult Vietnam Factory, explained that to maintain stable product quality, the entire production process at the factory operates according to global standards. Control is carried out continuously at each stage, from raw material input to the final product, ensuring every step complies with established guidelines. "Each stage must be checked and approved by the responsible department; only when all standards are met is the product allowed to leave the factory," he affirmed.
