10 northern universities announce additional admissions with benchmark scores of 17-18

Many universities are recruiting hundreds of additional students for popular majors like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and semiconductor chip engineering, with common benchmark scores of 17-18 for a three-subject combination.

One day after announcing 2026 benchmark scores, Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 announced additional admissions for nearly 180 students. These opportunities are available for programs in Psychology, Chemical Engineering, and Applied Mathematics.

Phenikaa University is recruiting additional students for dozens of majors. The university's School of Medicine and Pharmacy is also recruiting for majors including Medicine, Odonto-Stomatology, and Medical Laboratory Technology, with benchmark scores ranging from 18 to 23.

Phenikaa University considers additional admissions through five methods: national high school graduation exam results, direct admission, competency assessment exam scores (HSA, SPT), thinking assessment exam scores (TSA), V-SAT exam, and academic transcript review.

Applications are accepted until 22/8, with results announced on the same day. Admitted students will enroll on 25-26/8.
