The FPT Education Complex, located in Dien Bien Phu ward, spans a construction area of over 2,1 hectares within a total area of about 10,5 hectares, representing a density of over 20%. The complex is designed to offer training, prioritizing strategic technology fields such as semiconductors, cybersecurity, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and other advanced technology areas in vocational and university education. The K-12 program will emphasize experiential learning, equipping students with digital skills, technological thinking, and foreign language proficiency.

This training orientation leverages FPT's expertise and aligns with Dien Bien's socio-economic development needs. With an economy built on agriculture, forestry, tourism, and services, Dien Bien aims to accelerate digital transformation. The province has collaborated with businesses, including FPT, to pilot unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) applications in economic development and implement various technology projects. These initiatives underscore the demand for a skilled workforce with relevant technological expertise.

The FPT Education Complex broke ground as Dien Bien actively mobilizes social resources for education development, in line with Resolution 71 of the Politburo. This resolution identifies non-public education as an important component of the national education system. The project also aligns with Resolution 57, which outlines a breakthrough strategy for science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. This fosters technology application and human resource training to meet new development demands.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Le Van Luong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee, stated that the province is entering a new development phase. This phase includes goals such as modernizing its economic structure, building a digital economy, fostering a learning society, and developing high-quality human resources. Attracting large-scale education projects with non-public sector participation is a crucial solution to promote socialization, expand learning opportunities, and train local human resources.

He expressed hope that upon completion, the complex will expand access to quality education for students in Dien Bien and the Northwest region. It is also expected to contribute to training a workforce with knowledge, foreign language proficiency, and digital skills, attract teachers, lecturers, and experts, and promote innovation.

Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT Group, highlighted FPT's partnership with many localities in training and developing high-quality human resources, particularly in science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. FPT hopes to collaborate with the Dien Bien government and its people to develop education and train human resources aligned with practical needs. Concurrently, it aims to contribute to the socialization of education, diversify training models, and expand local learning opportunities.

"We expect the complex to become part of the local non-public education ecosystem, contributing to training a generation of human resources with technological capabilities and foreign language skills, ready to participate in Dien Bien's and the Northwest region's new economic sectors," he added.

Earlier, in March this year, FPT also broke ground on an education complex in Hai Phong. The group also operates K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and postgraduate institutions in Hanoi. These facilities contribute to expanding FPT's education network across many localities, strengthening the connection between training activities and regional workforce needs.
