Candidates wishing to take the first TSA round on 24-25/1/2026 must register by 5 p.m. on 15/12 at https://tsa.hust.edu.vn. The exam fee is 500,000 VND.
Associate Professor Dr. Vu Duy Hai, head of the Admissions and Career Guidance Department at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, stated that this round is expected to have about 25,000 slots. Twenty-five test sites will be organized in 11 provinces and cities: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Lao Cai, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Da Nang.
Candidates who miss the first round can register for the two subsequent rounds in March and May, with registration opening approximately one month before each exam date.

In 2026, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will maintain the exam structure with three parts: mathematical thinking (60 minutes), reading comprehension (30 minutes), and scientific thinking/problem-solving (60 minutes). Questions focus on assessing candidates' thinking abilities rather than direct subject knowledge. The total score is 100.
Candidates will take a multiple-choice computer-based test. Results are valid for two years.

In 2025, Hanoi University of Science and Technology also held three TSA rounds in Hanoi, attracting over 28,000 candidates with nearly 57,000 test attempts.
The average score for all candidates was 55,23/100. The top scorer was Vu Minh Duc, a student from class 12 Math 2 at Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, who achieved 98,61/100, setting a new record for the exam.
TSA results are used for admissions by over 50 universities. Specifically for Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the benchmark scores based on TSA results ranged from 46,48 to 86,97, with Data Science and Artificial Intelligence having the highest score.
