This October 20, Youth Publishing House suggests a selection of books perfect as gifts. Among these is "I'll Prescribe You Cat Medicine", an emotionally resonant novel translated by Nguyen Do An Nhien and released in late September.
The story unfolds in Kyoto, Japan, at the Nakagyo Kokoro Mental Hospital. This unique clinic employs a special therapy method: instead of pills, patients receive "cat prescriptions". They "take their medicine" by adopting cats and caring for them for a doctor-prescribed number of days. As their pain gradually subsides, the alley where the clinic is located also mysteriously disappears. During their time with the cats, each individual undergoes a profound transformation, finding hope for a brighter, more peaceful tomorrow.
