Britney Spears' representatives confirmed on 12/4 that the singer voluntarily entered a rehabilitation center, more than a month after being arrested for a traffic violation. According to a People source on 13/4, her two sons, Sean and Jayden, played a significant role in her admission to the treatment facility, having told Britney they only wanted her to be healthy.
Sean Preston, 21, and Jayden James, 20, are Britney Spears' sons with her second husband, dancer Kevin Federline. Since the couple's divorce in 2007, the children have lived with their father. The relationship between Britney and her sons was strained but has improved in recent years. Following the incident, both spent time with their mother. On Instagram at the end of March, Britney Spears posted several videos and photos with her two sons. In one post, she thanked everyone for their support, stating that being with family and friends was a blessing.

The incident that led to Spears' rehab entry occurred on the evening of 4/3 in California, where Britney Spears, 45, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. She was released the following morning. The artist is scheduled to appear in court on 4/5. In a statement to the media, the singer's representative called it "an unfortunate incident that cannot be excused."
Sources close to Spears indicate she was deeply distressed and fearful of potential jail time after the arrest. It took her several weeks to realize that rehab was the best option. Beyond her sons' support, her team encouraged her to seek medical intervention. "Those around her care deeply about her, constantly trying to offer support, but the situation is challenging. Many worrying issues have emerged since her arrest," the source added.
This is not Britney Spears' first time in rehab. According to Hollywood Reporter, she underwent short-term treatment at the Crossroads Centre facility on the island nation of Antigua in 2007. In her memoir *The Woman in Me*, the singer revealed she spent several months at a Beverly Hills center at a cost of 60,000 USD per month.

Born in 1981, Britney Spears rose to global fame with hit songs like "Baby One More Time," "Oops!... I Did It Again," and "Toxic." Throughout her career, the singer has released 9 studio albums, earning one Grammy Award and 8 Billboard Awards. From 2008 to 2021, she was under her father's conservatorship following a scandal where she reportedly locked herself in a room with her two young children. According to Us Weekly, the singer's relationship with her family members remains complex. Except for her father and sister Jamie Lynn Spears, she is reportedly closer to her brother Bryan and her mother.
Following the end of her conservatorship, Spears has attempted to re-engage with her career, though not reaching the same peak as her earlier years. In 2023, she released her memoir *The Woman in Me*, revealing how her father controlled her life, from her diet and career to her children. In February, international media reported that she sold her entire music catalog to the record label Primary Wave.
