She claimed the "Roar" singer assaulted her at the Spice Market nightclub in Melbourne, Australia, when Rose was in her early 20s. Rose accused Katy Perry of crude behavior that made her vomit on the artist.

According to Ruby Rose, after the incident, she openly shared the story but reframed it as a "funny drunken story" because she did not know how to handle it. Later, Rose decided to keep it secret because Katy Perry agreed to help her apply for a US visa. Despite this, she always warned people that Perry was "not a good person."

Responding to another fan's comment, she continued: "It took me nearly two decades to dare to say this publicly. Still, I am grateful for enough time to find my voice. This only shows how much psychological trauma and sexual assault can impact someone."

The actress also stated that speaking out about violence and sexual abuse between women is "100 times harder" than addressing misconduct by men.

Despite this, Ruby Rose stated she was not interested in reporting the incident. According to Rose, Katy Perry could sue her, but she believes the singer will not because what she said is true. She affirmed that she retains related images and has many witnesses to the event.

In a statement sent to Variety on 13/4, the singer's representatives declared: "The accusations about Katy Perry being spread by Ruby Rose on social media are not only false, but also dangerous, reckless lies." Her representatives also pointed out that Rose has previously made serious accusations against others, which were consistently refuted by those involved.
