Dai Nghia performs a handstand while singing

Actor Dai Nghia performed a handstand during his collaborative performance with Huynh Lap and Mew Amazing on the show "Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai" on the evening of 27/6.

The artist, alongside Huynh Lap and Mew Amazing, performed "Mat nai chachacha" (composed by Sy Luan) during the reunion public performance round. They reimagined the familiar song by incorporating a rap segment and a *vong co* (traditional Vietnamese singing) phrase. Dai Nghia's part of the performance earned enthusiastic applause from the studio audience and fellow contestants backstage.

Dai Nghia revealed he experienced severe dizzy spells while practicing the demanding move. He maintains his physical fitness by cycling at least 40 km daily. Huynh Lap expressed admiration for Dai Nghia's commitment.

Dai Nghia also impressed viewers with a magic trick, transforming roses interactively with an LED screen, and playing drums blindfolded during his solo performance of "Kim" (composed by Y Vu).

Mew Amazing noted that both Dai Nghia and Huynh Lap excel in stagecraft, facial expressions, and physical performance. He added that the group's thorough preparation allowed them to perform with ease, free from the pressure of proving themselves.

Dai Nghia, 48, is a prominent actor in both southern Vietnamese television and theater. He began his career in the 1990s after graduating from Stage Art School 2, now known as Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema. He has starred in numerous popular television series and films. Beyond acting, he also hosts many game shows.

During the opening round, 10 groups of "talented brothers" were divided into five pairs for head-to-head competition. Each team faced two challenges: a solo performance and a group performance. In the first episode, the group "Anh tai lam chieu" (Dai Nghia, Mew Amazing, Huynh Lap) competed against "Tinh dau ruc chay" (Ho Dong Quan, Will, Toki Thanh Tho, K.O). Concurrently, "Nhung ke lang du" (Dung DT, Thom, Dinh Manh Ninh) faced off against "Quai kiet mong mo" (Trinh Thang Binh, Tho, Ha An Huy).

Ultimately, both "Anh tai lam chieu" and "Nhung ke lang du" emerged victorious.

"Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai" is the Vietnamese adaptation of the Chinese reality show "Call Me By Fire". This program features male celebrities over 30 who are active in the entertainment industry. Contestants perform in groups through various rounds, with the 17 highest-scoring individuals forming a supergroup named "Gia toc toan nang". In its debut season, the 15-episode series consistently topped viewership ratings during its weekly prime-time slot. Many artist performances quickly trended on YouTube and sparked extensive discussion on social media. Beyond its television run, producers also staged eight concerts, drawing tens of thousands of fans in TP HCM and Hung Yen.
