Singer Dong Hung has unveiled a surprising new versatility during his appearances on 'Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai'. In episode 7, which aired on 15/8, Dong Hung performed "Moi buon sang choi", a song composed by Chau Dang Khoa, alongside fellow members Tung Mint, Mew Amazing, and It’s Charles. His modern dance and beatboxing skills, creating sounds with his mouth, particularly impressed both his colleagues and the audience. Viewers were surprised by his youthful and dynamic image, a departure from the dignified style he has maintained for many years.

Dong Hung revealed that he previously focused on revolutionary music and light music, areas where extensive performance skills were not his primary advantage. He explained that on this reality show, he aimed to explore new artistic avenues and was happy to perform wholeheartedly with his colleagues, embracing the challenge of trying new things.

For his monster transformation, Dong Hung spent nearly 4 continuous hours in the makeup chair. The production team applied prosthetic skin, sculpted features, and added horns, hair, and fur to create the elaborate look. This intricate design aimed to portray a monstrous figure while retaining the handsome features of a prince on one half of his face.

Musician Cheng commented that Dong Hung brought the most surprises among the contestants on the show. "The singer is not afraid to challenge himself, dedicating himself to every role", Cheng stated.

In the song "Thang tu la loi noi doi cua em", the 9x generation singer performed an aerial rope swing for the first time. Despite his fear of heights, he was determined to execute the stunt, aiming to deliver an impressive staging for the audience. He was one of the few contestants to earn the "Battle General" title on the opening public performance night.

Dong Hung, 33 years old, is known for his powerful voice, specializing in pop and rock music. He previously competed in Sao Mai diem hen 2012, Vietnam Idol 2014, and The winner is 2015. He married his wife, Anh Minh, in 2020 and they have one daughter.

'Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai' is a Vietnamese adaptation of the Chinese television show "Call Me by Fire", specifically designed for male celebrities over 30 in showbiz. Season one, consisting of 15 episodes, consistently led weekly prime-time viewership ratings. Season two, which premiered in June, features 34 contestants.
