The Giong Festival at Phu Dong Temple, Hanoi, is part of a special exhibition on Vietnamese cultural heritage recognized and inscribed by UNESCO. This traditional festival is held annually from the 6th to the 9th day of the 4th lunar month in Phu Dong commune, Gia Lam, to honor the contributions of Phu Dong Thien Vuong, Saint Giong. UNESCO inscribed the event as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2010.
The exhibition, titled "Vietnamese Cultural Heritage - Vitality from Tradition to Modernity," is taking place from 23/12 to 15/1/2026 at the Hanoi Flag Tower relic.

According to the organizers, each bamboo trap reflects the skillful hands and the community's longstanding connection to rivers, streams, and bamboo forests. This craft is not only a livelihood but also symbolizes the indigenous knowledge and sustainable labor culture of the Thai people.
