Despite turning 80, Ti Lung has not fully retired. He reduced his workload in 2018, following his wife's advice, but still accepts roles that suit his health. In June, he filmed "Desire Parasite" alongside Yu Heung-ying, Anita Yuen, and Michelle Yim, portraying a struggling taxi driver who is swindled out of his money.
Ti Lung states that work keeps him vibrant and optimistic. His health remains stable, and he performs stretching exercises daily.
In recent years, Ti Lung has rarely attended entertainment events, preferring to spend time with his family. He describes himself as "almost completely disconnected from technology," rarely using a phone and owning no smartphone. When he needs to communicate, his wife, Dao Manming, 70, assists him.

The couple has been married for 51 years. Ti Lung, who comes from a martial arts background, admits he once had a quick temper. He credits his wife's patience and tolerance for their harmonious and happy family life. Her gentle nature gradually mellowed the actor.
Ti Lung deeply cherishes his wife, always maintaining a professional distance from his female co-stars. Even during his career peak, when he had a large female fanbase, Dao Manming never worried or felt jealous. She once said, "Ti Lung's affection for me has never changed, so why should I be jealous? I am happy and proud of him."
Born Tam Fu-wing, Ti Lung is one of the most influential figures in Chinese martial arts cinema. He starred in classic Hong Kong films such as "The Duel," "Duel of Fists," "Return of the One-Armed Swordsman," "The Blood Brothers," "Chor Lau-heung," "A Better Tomorrow," and "The Master." His career peaked from the late 1960s to the 1980s.
His son, Tam Chun-yin, followed his parents into acting. On RTHK, the actor shared that early in his career, he frequently heard comments about being "famous because of his father." Due to this pressure, Tam Chun-yin once avoided taking photos with his father and refrained from mentioning him in interviews.

Over time, Tam Chun-yin grew accustomed to the discussions and no longer cared about external opinions. He learned acting experience from his father and strictly adhered to Ti Lung's advice upon entering the film industry: "no same-sex relationships, no illegal substances, no joining gangs."
