The beauty, born in Salavan province, is 1,7 m tall, with a balanced face and a bright smile. Mongkoutphet Harnsana was the 1st runner-up at Miss International Laos 2024. In late 2025, the franchise holder announced her participation in the 73rd Miss World competition.

In various behind-the-scenes videos, Mongkoutphet Harnsana displays positive energy and camaraderie with other contestants. Videos of the beauty interacting and answering interviews in Vietnamese have received high engagement from viewers.

She has a Vietnamese mother and a Lao father. In a vlog earlier this year about visiting relatives living in Ha Noi, Mongkoutphet Harnsana shared that each return to her second homeland brings a sense of familiarity and closeness. She explored many scenic spots, strolled through city streets, and enjoyed street food. Her post attracted nearly 200,000 views, with many Vietnamese fans praising her: "She is so lovely," "I thought Miss World 2026 had two Vietnamese contestants," "Congratulations, please spread even more of the friendship spirit between Vietnam and Laos."

She wore an elegant outfit upon arriving in Vietnam to begin her journey to conquer the crown. Mongkoutphet Harnsana currently works in media.

Over the past years, Mongkoutphet Harnsana has pursued projects promoting Lao culture and traditional textile weaving. In her application to the Miss World organizers, she stated her love for photography, having traveled across her homeland to document community life and indigenous cultural heritage.

During networking events and side parties, Mongkoutphet Harnsana often wears traditional Lao attire.

She brought the "Voice of Hope" humanitarian project to the competition, combining filmmaking and education. One of her notable activities focuses on preserving the traditional weaving craft of the Katang people in southern Laos.

The competition runs from 8/8 to 5/9, spanning three provinces: Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, and Khanh Hoa. On 12/8, 111 contestants wore ao dai for the opening ceremony at a square in Ha Long City. In Do Son, contestants planted mangroves and experienced crabbing, fishing, and kayaking.

Miss World, first organized in 1951, is one of the two largest and oldest beauty pageants in the world, alongside Miss Universe. The pageant celebrates global solidarity by seeking young women with beauty, education, and meaningful community projects. For many years, Miss World has embraced the message: Beauty with a Purpose.
