Information about Huong Giang competing in the first season of Miss Grand International All Stars was announced by the organizers in January. Early in May, Sthefany Gutierrez of Venezuela, who was the runner-up 2 at Miss Universe 2018, unexpectedly withdrew, much to the regret of fans. Her compatriot, Gabriela De La Cruz, who was the runner-up 4 at Miss Supranational 2019, replaced her.

The All Stars version is part of the Miss Grand International system, announced by Chairman Nawat in late 2025. This competition is distinct from the original version, allowing contestants to register freely without needing to go through national MGI license holders. Beauties who have previously participated in international pageants have the opportunity to compete. The competition is open to trans women, married women, and mothers. More than one contestant can participate from each country.
